Dear viewers warm welcome to the Department of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering. Department of Electronics & Telecommunication started in 2009-2010 affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune (Formerly University of Pune) & approved by AICTE, New Delhi. The under graduate course operates with approved intake of 60. We have also started postgraduate course for VLSI and Embedded Systems with the intake of 24 in 2012-13.
Under Sharadchandra Pawar College of Engineering, the Electronics and Telecommunication department is one of the best and largest departments. It has invested in equipment’s & software over Rs.50 Lakhs for the upgraded, well equipped and fully furnished laboratories to supplement the theory courses as per the curriculum of Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune. Other facilities include excellent infrastructure of 3 classrooms with LCD, projection facilities, 08 laboratories and other amenities. The main objective of the department is to impart strong background of theory and practical in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering..
We also encourage our students to participate in various co- curricular and extra- curricular activities. Our students have bagged several prizes in various technical seminars, paper presentations, project competitions as well as in prestigious cultural events like Bhimashankar Karandak and many other sport events.
The department runs program to cater to the challenging needs of Industry, Society and Service sector. The department is focused to impart quality education, training & research by providing the healthy & conducive environment. The department curricular is supported with number of technical and co-curricular activities encouraging students to broaden their horizons of thought, innovate and implement their ideas and to bridge the gap between curriculum & industries. The students have been consistently achieving good results in the University examinations. Both staff and students of this department have participated in national and International workshops/Seminars/Conferences and have published papers in reputed journals.
We aim to create Electronics and Telecommunication graduates who utilize the opportunities in today’s growing communications era and to create a vibrant and stronger India through Electronics and Telecommunication technology.
